{"id":20099,"date":"2015-07-08T11:29:13","date_gmt":"2015-07-08T09:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/?p=20099"},"modified":"2018-04-04T18:49:46","modified_gmt":"2018-04-04T16:49:46","slug":"document-manager-configuration-defining-subgroups-of-category","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/document-manager-configuration-defining-subgroups-of-category\/?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT CONFIGURATION: DEFINING SUBGROUPS OF CATEGORY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"en\">For each category of documents, you can define <b>subgroups<\/b>, to simplify the search in the tree and provide a classification of documents, according to various criteria. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">On the General form\u00a0of <b><a href=\"http:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/conf_docform\">document management Configuration<\/a><\/b>, press the button <strong>&#8220;sub-groups&#8221;<\/strong> (absent if the category is fictional), which opens the following form:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21962\" src=\"http:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/07conf_d19_en2.jpg\" alt=\"07conf_d19_en\" width=\"676\" height=\"322\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/07conf_d19_en2.jpg 676w, https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/07conf_d19_en2-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li lang=\"en\">Press the button\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21908\" src=\"http:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/P_AGGIUNGI.jpg\" alt=\"P_AGGIUNGI\" width=\"29\" height=\"27\" \/> to define a subset of a category: give it a <span style=\"color: #990000;\"><b>Description<\/b><\/span> and a sequence number (<span style=\"color: #990000;\"><b>Ord.<\/b><\/span> field) to set the display order in the tree (if the number remains 0, or equal numbers, the order is alphabetical).<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\">Then define the grouping policy:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li lang=\"en\"><b>Grouping to document code<\/b>: fill in the fields <span style=\"color: #990000;\"><strong>from\u00a0type\/code<\/strong><\/span> and<span style=\"color: #990000;\"><b> to type\/code<\/b><\/span>, inserting the full code of the first and of the last document to be included in the Group: will be included (and then displayed or managed by special forms) all documents whose codes fall within the same range.<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\"><span lang=\"en\"><b>Second Grouping SQL filter<\/b>: you can specify in the field <span style=\"color: #990000;\"><b>Filter<\/b><\/span>, a SQL expression that is evaluated on the Management Form\u00a0of documentation (you can use in SQL filter, the LIKE operator and all functions permitted by the SQL database language used). <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Will be included in the group all records whose fields meet this expression.<\/span><\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\"><span lang=\"en\"><b>Grouping based on the value of a field or SQL expressions<\/b>: you can specify one or more fields (up to four) of the Form\u00a0of management of documentation by choosing from the drop-down box, which includes the only character fields; t<\/span><span lang=\"en\">his creates many sub-groups as there are distinct values of that field, with the exception of null values.<\/span><br \/>\n<span lang=\"en\">The possibility of grouping for <b>SQL expressions <\/b>is very useful if you need to group for date fields, numeric fields, fields combinations or also make decoder using subqueries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\"><span lang=\"en\"><b>Grouping by Status: <\/b>in particular, between the values of the fields you can also choose the <i><span style=\"color: #990000;\">Status<\/span>\u00a0<\/i>in which the documents are divided into subgroups corresponding to the phase of planned workflow <i>(editorial<\/i>, <i>Published<\/i>, etc.)<\/span><i><i>.<\/i><\/i><i style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span lang=\"en\"><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Note<\/span><\/strong>: grouping is done on the basis of a new field added to the DOCUMENT table. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">This field is not updated for documents already existing at the time of the QualiWare update, but it updates\u00a0each subsequent modification. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">For this reason, in sub-groups may appear only documents created or modified after the update.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"en\" style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><span lang=\"en\" style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">To be able to see directly into the document tree of the Panel list of documents contained in a subgroup and its related documents (but only if QualiWare internal), tick the box <strong>&#8220;Show documents list in the tree&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22079\" src=\"http:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/07gruppd2_en1.jpg\" alt=\"07gruppd2_en\" width=\"316\" height=\"449\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/07gruppd2_en1.jpg 316w, https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/07gruppd2_en1-211x300.jpg 211w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 316px) 100vw, 316px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the example shown, the category <b>Consumi energetici<\/b> provides the grouping f<i>or year (Anno) and users (utenza) <\/i>and the relative secondary groups.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For each category of documents, you can define subgroups, to simplify the search in the tree and provide a classification of documents, according to various criteria.
