{"id":23567,"date":"2016-03-15T16:00:23","date_gmt":"2016-03-15T15:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/?p=23567&#038;lang=en"},"modified":"2022-03-10T15:39:05","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T14:39:05","slug":"00-qwntsecservice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/00-qwntsecservice\/?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"QUALIWARE SERVER DAEMON.NET (QWNTSECSERVICE)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Starting from release <strong>2015.03b <\/strong>with on QualiWare web platform is installed a new service, the QualiWare Server Daemon Service (QWNTSECSERVICE. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Exe), which will gradually replace the classic QualiWare Service Server Daemon QWNTSEC.<\/span><span lang=\"en\">Exe, carrying out the same activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">At the time the service QWNTSECSERVICE. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Exe can perform the following tasks:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li lang=\"en\">Document importing*<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\">File monitor<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\">KPI evaluation*<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\">Mail sending<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\">Security alignment*<\/li>\n<li lang=\"en\">Waiting Tasks update<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(*)These&nbsp;activities are available from the release 2015.03c<\/p>\n<p>When the QWNTSecService service is activated, the classic QNTSEC.EXE service don&#8217;t execute those activities.<br \/>\nSince the release 2015.03c recommend disabling the service based on QWNTSEC.EXE.<\/p>\n<h4 align=\"left\"><strong lang=\"en\">Installation of the service<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p lang=\"en\">1) The service must be manually installed by running the following command from a command prompt in administrator mode enabled:<\/p>\n<pre>c:\\Windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v4.0.30319\\InstallUtil \/ServiceName=<span style=\"color: #800000;\">\"<\/span>QWNTSecService\" \/DisplayName=\"QualiWare Server Daemon .NET Service\" \"C:\\program files (x86)\\qualiware web server\\bin\\qwntsecservice.exe\"<\/pre>\n<p lang=\"en\">Note: the &#8220;qwntsecservice.exe&#8221; file path could vary according to the actual settings used when installing QualiWare Web Server.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span lang=\"en\">If on the server there are multiple installations of QualiWare Web Server<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"en\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">, you must specify the correct path to QWNTSECSERVICE. <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span lang=\"en\" style=\"color: #333333;\">Exe, and specify different service names and descriptions, (&#8220;DisplayName&#8221; and &#8220;ServiceName&#8221; parameters).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">2)When you run the above command, you will be prompted for the name and password of the user who will perform the service. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">It is strongly suggested to use <em>the same username<\/em> used for the classic QWNTSEC service. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Exe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en\">Note: remember to specify in your username even its domain: <\/span><\/p>\n<p>user: <strong>domain\\username<\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">3)You can check the status of your service in the QualiWare Server Daemon Configuration on the web version.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-28343\" src=\"https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/QualiWareServerDaemon.NETService.png\" alt=\"QualiWareServerDaemon.NETService\" width=\"833\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/QualiWareServerDaemon.NETService.png 833w, https:\/\/help.qualiware.it\/qw-help\/wp-content\/uploads\/QualiWareServerDaemon.NETService-300x86.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 833px) 100vw, 833px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4)&nbsp;It is suggested to&nbsp;schedule a periodic restart of the service (for example once a day) by scheduling the execution of the two commands of &#8220;start and stop&#8221;on different instructions and at a distance of at least a couple of minutes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<pre>net stop &lt;service name&gt;\r\nnet start &lt;service name&gt;<\/pre>\n<h4 align=\"left\"><strong lang=\"en\">TECHNICAL NOTES<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li><span lang=\"en\">Classic QWNTSEC service. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Exe and the new service, net QWNTSECSERVICE. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">EXE use the same library for the execution of the activities, the <\/span><strong><span lang=\"en\">QWNTSEC. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">DLL<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"en\"> installed in <em>c:\\program files (x 86) \\qualiware\\bin<\/em> for the Client\/Server version and in <em>C:\\program files (x 86) \\qualiware server\\bin web<\/em> to the Web version. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">Therefore if you do not enable the new service net but decide to continue to use the classic service, the algorithm that will be used to carry out the activities described at the beginning of this article is the same that would be used if it would activate the new service.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en\">If it is decided to continue to use the classic QWNTSEC. <span lang=\"en\">EXE &nbsp;<\/span>service <\/span><span lang=\"en\">also for activities that can be performed by the new service<\/span><span lang=\"en\">, you must install the <strong>Crystal Reports Runtime 2010<\/strong> on the server where the service is installed, by downloading it from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qualiware.it\/download\/CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_18.msi\">here<\/a>. <\/span><span lang=\"en\">In the case where on the server has been installed yet the QualiWare Web Server, this step is not necessary.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Starting from release 2015.03b with on QualiWare web platform is installed a new service, the QualiWare Server Daemon Service (QWNTSECSERVICE.
