Thanks to the QualiWare Cloud Components technology the following features are available for most used browsers without the need to be connected in the LAN:
– Form designer
– Query designer
– HTML designer
– Updating fields of documents in Word, Excel, OpenOffice / LibreOffice
– Automatic creation of PDF
Cloud Installation Components
Downloading Cloud Components can be done either from the link Download Cloud Components on the home page of QualiWare in the box Useful Links on the right top corner or using the button Download and install on the form that appears whenever you use a function that will requires them.
The Do not download and do not ask me again button allows you to inhibit the use of the Cloud Components, and this mask will not be shown again. To re-enable it, simply press on the aforementioned Download Cloud Components link.
NOTE: Windows 10 and the Opera browser will not present this mask, but instead a message warning the user that it is necessary to install an application. In such cases it is therefore necessary to install the Cloud Components via the above link Download Cloud Components.
Once you have downloaded the installation program, just start it and confirm all requests that are shown, until the end.
Using Cloud Components
Once installed, the first time you use features that require the Cloud Components, such as opening a document, the browser offers a window asking you to confirm the use of an external manager for custom protocol. This window is different from browser to browser:
Chrome
it’ s been necessary to check the box “Remember my choice for all links of this type” and then press “Start Application“.
if accidentally press “No action”, the cloud components will be disabled; to rehabilitate them the user needs to open the following file: “ %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Local State” and insert “false” in in the protocol “qualiwareXXXXXYY”, in the “excluded_schemes” section.
NOTE: Before performing these operations, make sure you close all open browser.
Internet Explorer
In this case indeed is necessary to remove the tick on the box as is shown in the figure.
NOTE: QualiWare Cloud Components support Internet Explorer only since the Version 9 or later.
Firefox
In this case indeed is necessary to tick on the box as is shown in the figure.
Opera
In this case tick the checkbox indicated by the arrow.
Note for system administrators
1) Since the release 2015.02f onwards the browser can detect the presence of Cloud Components on your PC. This solves the problem of the new installation request that you had in previous releases, should the user change the browser or the cookies are deleted.
2) An update to a new version of QualiWare could require the installation of a new version of Cloud Components.
